care instruction

Cotton Kota Doria are natural fabrics and are some of the most comfortable fabrics for summer. At aavaranaa, we take care to source only handloom fabrics. Read how to take care of them.

# Cottons and cotton kotas are easy to maintain and can even be machine washed on gentle cycle. However, if your cotton has been enhanced with natural dye prints, embroidery or kalamkari, kindly avoid machine washing them. Washing them in machine with harsh chemicals may result in them fading quickly.

# Since a majority of our fabrics use natural dyes, we recommend testing if they bleed and washing them separately for the first few washes. If they bleed colour, we recommend soaking them in salt water and washing with gentle detergents or shampoo or dry cleaning them,

# If your fabric has undergone a couple of drycleans, you can start washing them at home (not kalamkari).

# Avoid tumble dry and always line dry under shade to ensure a long life for your fabrics
