India has a rich heritage of silk weaving. Apart from Mulberry silk, India is known for producing tussar, muga and ahimsa silks. Some of these are wild and some of these are farmed commercially. Each of these silks has its own property when it comes to sheen, shine and wear. Being a natural fabric, silk does shed, wear and tear with age. However, caring for them ensures they have a long life. Silk Care & Wash# We recommend air drying silks after every use. Silks do not require washing after every wear unless soiled.# We recommend giving our sarees for dry cleaning for the first few washes.# Silk sarees can be washed at home using a gentle detergent or soap nuts. Avoid soaking & scrubbing these fabrics. Any stains should be dry cleaned.# Avoid tumble dry and instead line dry away from direct sunlight.# Silk sarees should be regularly worn to avoid fraying. If kept in humid or dry spaces for long without wear, silks are likely to deteriorate. So wear your sarees well.# If you are unable to wear them regularly, remove them and change folds from time to time. We do not recommend hanging them. If stacked, ensure there isn’t too much weight on the sarees.# Avoid using naphthalene balls or other chemicals while storing silks. Heavy silks may be stores in muslin bags.# If you can, roll them on wooden rods to store them wrinkle free. However, gentle folding works well too.

- Each address you instruct us to ship to, including gift-recipient addresses, is considered a separate order and is subject to applicable shipping charges.
- Shipping within India is a complementary service. Aavaranaa reserves the right to charge shipping fees for deliveries within India with no prior notice.
- Aavaranaa ships worldwide. For internationals delivery the shipping charge is based on the weight of the package and the destination address. Before placing the order you can even check the rate a quote will be displayed from our logistics partner FedEx.
- Please note you at the time of order creation you are clearing the freight charge only Local custom taxes and duties, if any, will have to be borne by you or the recipient of the package.
- Aavaranaa will value the package as per the bill value. We have the strict policy against under valuation and cannot mark as gift from Aavaranaa.
- For international orders, in the event of returns due to exchange, customer issue or if the recipient refuses the delivery due to high duty charges, the customer will be charged to & fro shipping fees as well as local duties that Aavaranaa may incur when the parcel is shipped back to us. Refunds or store credit, if any, will be calculated after the package is returned to us without damage. Any damage to the saree will need to be borne by the customer. Aavaranaa will bear the charges for shipment ONLY in cases where a wrong product or damaged product has been shipped.
- In the event customer wishes to ship back an item to us, customer has to bear the shipment fees to ship any parcel back to us. Further, any refunds will be offered after the parcel goes through QC to ensure the goods have not been tampered with. Aavaranaa will bear the charges for shipment ONLY in cases where a wrong product or damaged product has been shipped.
- For Shipping within India, please allow 4 to 6 working days for delivery and for international delivery please allow 10-15 working days.
- Any customization like Saree edges, blouses etc will take additional time 7 to 15 working days depending on the level of customization. No refunds will be entertained for customized order even if the customer fails to pick up the order due to high duty charges.
- Any disputes if any will be resolved based on these terms and conditions pertaining to shipping.
Returns and exchanges must be made within the guidelines in our Return Policy.
In case you wish to return a merchandise we request you to send a detailed mail to support@aavaranaa.com within 2-3 days of receipt of the product.
Please note, for returns made due reasons other than Aavaranaa’s mistake i.e – wrong product, faulty or damaged merchandise, a CREDIT NOTE will be issued. This credit note can be used in future to make a purchase on our website. We are unable to make a cash/credit/bank refund for such cases.
